‘Bella holds a very special place in the Oronsay family. As mentioned in ‘About Us’, Tri colours have long been our first love and Bella is the first Oronsay bred Tri colour to reach the show ring.. Add to that the fact she is from our gorgeous Tri boy, Leo and you can see why she is a tad special to us.

Show wise she has done very well to date. As a baby she managed something we never would have expected, and that was following in her fathers footsteps by winning " Baby Puppy in Show" at the CKCS Club of Qld speciality show in 2005, under breed specialist judge Mrs Glenda Cheyney (Kweznay Cavaliers - Vic).

She has been placed at various specialty shows, including Melbourne & Sydney but her latest career highlight would be winning ‘Opposite Limit in Show’ at Show 1 of the CKCS Club of Qld’s 2006 specialty, as well as winning ‘Best Tri Colour In Show’ at both Show 1 and Show 2 of the 2006 Qld specialties. These shows were judged by respected UK breed specialists, Mr Mark Levy & Mr Michael Sedgwick of the well known Pascavale prefix, so we were especially thrilled with these wins….

Personality wise she is a quiet achiever, not the most outgoing dog in the house at times, but she certainly makes her presence felt when it comes time for cuddles or food. Her love of food is definitely a trait she got from her mother Possum!

Sadly our hopes that Bella would be the future of our Tri colour family were dashed following a health scare after her first ever mating. We could not risk Bella's health and as such made the heart wrenching decision to desex Bella immediately. Although we know we did what is right for Bella it is incredibly sad to know we will never get to enjoy the thrill of Bella being a mum.

Exquisite little tricolor madam 4 months of age. Sweetest baby who showed her heart out & never put a foot out of place. Attractively marked with good definition between black & crisp white with strong & bright tan in all the correct places. Well off for body with good angles either end. Excellent driving action with good propulsion from strong hocks she covered the ground really well & moved true in both directions. Pretty head with well divided markings, good length of leathers with promise of good ears to come. Excellent size & shape this confident youngster was happy & outgoing, showing a spirited & sound temperament. Most Promising. I was pleased to be able to award her BEST BABY IN SHOW.

Tri well marked with good tan. Pleasing head. Pushed off from strong hindquarters giving attractive movement.

A well marked tri with lots of good rich tan markings, good for size and balance, pleasing head and expression, overall a nice type.
